Start Line Volunteers will assist in the set up and take down of the barricades that will be lining the Army Run start line on Laurier Ave. They will also assist in keeping the start area clear of spectators and obstacles that could interfere with the set up of the runners. Volunteers will also help direct runners to their starting positions, which include those who are starting from the false start line, and those who are setting up timing equipment on the false start line. Volunteers should be knowledgeable about Army Run, including the designated area surrounding the run, start times, end times, etc. They should be prepared for some physical exertion while doing set up and take down, and therefore it is recommended that volunteers for this position are physically able to lift and move heavy equipment. Volunteers should be able to deal well with the public.

*NOTE: Volunteers will be able to use this experience towards their community service hours. If this applies to you, please bring the designated forms to the Army Run race weekend for a volunteer coordinator to sign.
