Guidelines

Guidelines to consider when submitting your story:

  1. We are interested in hearing your own stories, views, and opinions, so to the extent possible, avoid including lengthy excerpts from other sources.
  2. Avoid using language that is racist, sexist, defamatory, insensitive, threatening, or hateful.
  3. Feel free to include links to external web addresses if they help tell your story, but please do not link to sites that would be considered inappropriate, pornographic, racist, sexist, insensitive, threatening, or hateful. And please limit your external links to a maximum of three.
  4. Avoid posting press releases, advertisements or other promotional material.
  5. Do not violate the privacy of another individual.
  6. Media may be interested in contacting you about your story. If we receive a call from anyone in the media, we will ALWAYS contact you first and will NEVER provide your contact information without your permission.
  7. In the months leading up to Canada Army Run, we will profile on our Home Page shorter versions of some of the stories that are submitted. If we select your story to profile, we will ALWAYS contact you for your approval first. If you agree to be profiled, you will be able to review and approve the profile before it is posted.
  8. We may use our Facebook and Twitter accounts to point people to your story, with the intent of sharing it with as broad an audience as possible.
