About Canada Army Run

Canada Army Run is the fastest growing run in Canada and unlike any other run in the country. From the cannon used as a starter’s pistol to the "dog-tag" medals all participants receive when they cross the finish line, Canada Army Run is military in flavour from beginning to end. Military bands, Army equipment displays, and a pasta dinner served military field-kitchen style make for a weekend you won’t soon forget!

More importantly, though, the event provides an opportunity for the Army to thank Canadians for their support, and a chance for Canadians to say thanks to those who serve them in so many ways at home and abroad.

Fundraising efforts benefit Soldier On and the Military Families Fund.

Register today to walk, run, or roll in the 5K or half marathon events.

Registration Going Strong

Wow! Registration is way ahead of where it was last year at this time. With almost six months to go, close to 3,000 people have already signed up! Register today to take advantage of early-bird rates and to guarantee your spot in what is expected to be another sold-out event.

New Shirts Commemorate 5th Anniversary

New Balance has come up with another great design for the long-sleeved technical shirts all registered participants receive. Not only will this year’s shirts again feature the Canadian Forces’ CADPAT design – the distinctive Canadian Forces’ camouflage pattern – but they’ll also include the specially designed logo that commemorates our 5th anniversary. A practical shirt for run day and a great keepsake for years to come!

New Finishers’ Medals Resemble Official Canadian Forces Identity Discs

One of the many things participants love about Canada Army Run is the “dog-tag” finishers’ medals they receive when they cross the finish line. Well, this year’s medals are even more special! Instead of the generic tags we’ve used in the past, these are modelled after the official Canadian Forces identity discs. When a soldier puts the medal around your neck at the finish line this year, take the opportunity to thank him or her for all they do to keep Canada safe at home and abroad!
